Charles C. Bingaman is an independent consultant to CLE organizations,
law firms, corporate legal departments and bar associations on
professional
education management and marketing, in-house training technique,
and practice marketing.
From 1982 to 2002, Bingaman was Executive Director of Illinois
Institute for Continuing Legal Education when that organization
won awards in publishing, course design, marketing and use of technology
in professional education. He has been a leader in the Association
for CLE Administrators since the early 1970s, created its member
newsletter in 1975, and has chaired its annual meeting three times.
Bingaman is a frequent consultant to and speaker for law firms,
bar associations, and the Association of Continuing Legal Education
Administrators. In 2002 Bingaman received the Addis E. Hull Award
for Excellence in Continuing Legal Education from Illinois Institute
for Continuing Legal Education and the President's Award from the
Association of Continuing Legal Education Administrators.
Bingaman served on the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Judicial
Performance Evaluation from 1986 to 1995 and served as a Hearing
Board Chair for the Illinois Supreme Court Attorney Registration
and Disciplinary Commission from 1997 to 2002. He is a graduate
of DePauw University and The University of Chicago Law School. Bingaman
is based in Walpole, New Hampshire.
